roast beef
beef broth (preferably home made beef bullion)
Pepper to taste
bay leaves
garlic
steak sauce (preferably home made steak sauce)
large sweet onion cut in slices and then quarters
small potatoes sliced (not pealed)
large carrots sliced
flour mixed with enough warm water to make a thin paste (to make gravy)
Preparation
1. place potatoes, carrots, bay leaves and 1/3 of the onions and 1/3 of the garlic garlic in bottom of slow cooker pot and sprinkle with pepper
2. place roast on top of potatoes and carrots
3. sprinkle the rest of the onions and garlic over the roast
4. pour beef broth over roast
5. bake on low for 6 – 7 hours
6. after roast is done place roast and vegetables on a platter and pour beef juices into a sauce pan
7. bring beef juices to a boil
8. add flour and water mixture to sauce pan and simmer for about 5 minutes or until thickened
